PARIS

finally in Paris...got here yesterday around 340pm...my arms hurt from carrying my luggage all the way from the airport to the Hotel. Last night patrick and i just walked around...nothing big but it is great here. It is cold though, which is weird...windy...i think the scotland weather followed us. Today we went to Notre Dame,Louvre, some shopping, just walked. Tomorrow is when i think the whole LSU group meets so i will soon be able to tell you guys about classes. its going to be crazy trying to speak French...hope i can make it!

i was in outerspace...oh how was it?

Alright so it is 756am on Sunday the 28th, we leave tomorrow for PARIS! backtracking a little...the 26th is kind of a blurry but we woke up super early to send Liz off...it was quite sad...it was cold and rainy and we waved as liz drove off in the bus. We basically hung out in Glasgow all day...went to 3 museums GOMA, School of Art, and CCA, played around town and went to a performance art show. The show was very interesting...it had a girl with one red show and a man dressed up as a bear. It was suppose to represent the Madrid bombings in 2004...but we didnt realize that the tomatos the bear was stepping on were suppose to be people...see do you get what i just said? its all confusing but still pretty cool how people can present real events in history with art. That night we went to a club called ABC...so much fun...the music was all real fun dancing music where you can just jump up and down and not bump and grind.
On our walk back to em's flat we saw some real Glasgow Friday night drama...some girls were yelling at each other, some boy threw a lighter at a girls head, a girl kicked her heal into another girl...the Scots really are intense people that love to get in people's faces. kinda like jerry springer.
YEsterday we woke a little bit later since we didnt really sleep until 4am. We made it to the westend of Glasgow and saw some fossil trees in Victoria Park and went to the Botanic Gardens. that was pretty much it, we were all exhausted and called it a night. Today we are going to Stirling Castle! i really like castles and all the history behind them, however the castle looks like it is on a HUGE hill just like the Edinburgh castle. now why do i worry you ask about this hill, my legs are hurting...this country is too damn hilly! my poor feet are just not usto it...so wish me luck...maybe they will have an elevator to the castle?!?!

GLASGOW!

and we are off! it is about 1230am here in glasgow Scotland! it has been great fun these past two days...so starting with the plane ride...May23rd. 423pm at NO to Chicago, it was probably the most efficent plane trip ever! we got to Chicago 10mins early and the gate to Glasgow was K7 right next to K9 where we got off...8pmChicago to Glasgow! Such a short flight or at least it felt like that, movies you ask? Rumor has it and Spiderman 2! WTF! those movies are sooooooo OLD! but patrick and I took some drugs and tried to sleep.
Arrived in glasgow and didnt see em or liz then i turn around and see HUGE bug glasses in my face. it was EMILY! they dressed up like secret spys and hid from us so they could jump out! AHH! we headed to em's flat and walked around Glasgow. saw Mungo's Cathedral and a cool Necropolis, and a modern musuem called the Lighthouse. had tea, dinner, and bought some wine from TESCO! i forgot how much i loved Tesco's cherries! then we went to the last international pub night...Patrick and i got to pretend we were international students bonding with our international friends.
Today we all went to Edinburgh and spent the whole day there...a huge castle is on this hill in the middle of the city. This place is so hilly i think i lost 10pounds from my bum. we went to the zoo and saw a penguin parade, warthogs, zebras, and an AMAZING falcon. went to a bar and met some great girls from SanDiego and another fellow LSU student. Edinburgh is so beautiful, a strange mix of London, Paris, and Ireland.
Tomorrow Liz leaves for BR and patrick and i leave on Monday...so who knows what we are gonna do. One thing about Glasgow is the weather! in 30mins it was raining, sunny, then HAILING! what? im serious the weather here is so crazy way worse then Louisiana!until the next update, Cheers!

how big is Europe?

Morning of...hmm...we have no more cereal....what am i going to eat for breakfast? 4:24 plane leaves for Chicago and then to Glasgow at 8pm, arriving in Scotland at 9:15am! and i am really very calm...im shocked at how calm i am...i am trying to not think about how i will be in europe for 2 months and trying to speak French for one of those months. I think i thought this summer would be just as easy as last summer...everyone was so nice in London and everyone spoke english...i guess i kinda forgot that Paris is probably going to be completely different. hmpf...oh well i just hope they maybe think im japanese! alright so this is it...the next time i see any of yall will be July25th! i wish i could bottle everyone up and tuck you guys away in my carry on...
